Each 1 gm contains:
Ampicillin Trihydrate 230 mg which is equivalent to 200 mg Ampicillin.
Ampicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against gram +ve and –ve bacteria. It is quickly absorbed and reaches high plasma concentration within two hours and excreted in urine and bile discharged, therefore it is used in intestinal and urinary tract infections.
Ampicillin 20% is indicated in most bacterial infections caused by E.Coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Brucella, Proteus, Klebsiella and Corynebacteria that affect both large animals and poultry. It is also used in the treatment of diarrhea and pulmonary infections in calves and lambs.
Poultry: 100 gm/200 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Sheep & Goat, Calves & Foals: 10- 15 mg/ Kg body weight twice daily for 5 days
Don’t use animal production during or after last treatment for 4 days.
